Entombed - Morning Star (9 out of 10) Reviewed by Kris Hunt (aka. Strider69) Reviewed on March 07 2003
While not nearly as heavy as their masterpiece, Left Hand Path, this is a MUST have cd for metalheads. Some people have even mentioned it in the same breath as Slayer's Reign In Blood. While I wouldnt go that far, it is a great CD, and in my opinion, better than most other CD's out there right now. It's very rare these days to get a cd without one bad track, or some meaningless filler.
The CD opens with Chief Rebal Angel, and all I can say is holy shit. I've never heard someone blast god and praise satan before, and have it sound so cool; not to mention great guitars to back up the vocal assualt. I For An Eye keeps up right where the last song left off, with some more pissed off vocals, and some great guitar work. Year One Now is a short but great track where L.G. Petrov (band frontman) screams "kill, kill, kill, die, die, die", and will have you looking to break something. Mental Twain is the last song on the CD. It has a slower pace than Entombed normally shows, but there is some truly great guitar work in this song, It's a excellent choice to end this CD. If you don't already have this CD go out and buy it.
